Wooridle Spine Hospital began as Lee, Sang-ho Neurological Surgery Clinic in 1982 and has focused on one specific area of spinal disc since then. Now it manages 5 local directly controlled hospitals like Seoul (Gimpo Airport), Seoul (Cheongdam), Busan (Oncheon), Busan (Dongnae) and Daegu and Wooridle Hospital in Shanghai, China.

Wooridle Spine Hospital is based on the philosophy to cure without surgery as much as possible, to have adequate equipments, and to cure with minimal invasive operation that does not use medication, insection as much as possible protecting the original normal tissue.

120 specialists and 1000 employees together made effort to make it 'integrated hospital specialized in spine' providing the spine total care system. On Nov. 16, 2008, the world famous 'New York times' introduced in detail the excellent medical service of the hospital.

New York Times quoted this hospital with the title "South Korea Joins Lucrative Practice of Inviting Medical Tourists to Its Hospitals" introducing excellence of Korean medical tourism.

In 2008, 1017 foreign patients from 56 countries visited this hospital. A third of them are americans. Besides, it was chosen as 'Best International Hospital' by Medical Tour Association' in 2008.

The result of examining 18 hospitals specialized in spine all over the world by international minimal invasive academy in 2002 showed that this hospital was ranked the 1st in operation performance, and recorded the most operation quantity as 8000 operations.
